Collection of Personal Information

As an integral part of delivering our software, products and services, we collect your email address and a user-ID of your choosing. Our BearingSharing™ server collects the bearing information that you elect to provide. You opt in to the use of the service by paying the app purchase and/or ongoing renewal fees. Bearings so collected include your geographical location when you record each bearing along with the time and date.

When you purchase our app or purchase service extensions, you do so through the Apple App Store and are therefore subject to Apple's policies as they apply to Personal Information. Apple's policies can be found here.

If you submit an inquiry to us via email, we collect your name, email address or other Personal Information you may choose to include in your correspondence.

Indirect data and cookies

When you access our website or use our software or services, we may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser, operating system and domain from which you came immediately prior to visiting our site along with information from cookies in order to provide and maintain our services. Depending on the web browser you use, you can review and alter how your browser accepts or blocks cookies.

Our software applications collect Apple push notification identification information. We use this information to provide you with updated bearing information consistent with how you elect to use the BearingSharing™ service. In our software applications, we use Personal Information to provide you with the ability to collect, save and share bearings consistent with the intent of the applications. For email you may choose to send us, we use Personal Information to respond to your inquiries. We may use your email address bring to your attention important information related to our software, products or services such as this Data Protection Policy. More generally, we use Personal Information provide and maintain our products, software and services, and to satisfy our legal rights and obligations. Our legal basis for use of your Personal Information is the need to perform a transaction, satisfy our legal obligations, and/or our legitimate business interests.
